TACT Rate Books

IATA publishes two editions, 3 times in a year, called TACT Rate books. One of them is called “Green book”, reflect the rates to/from all airports of the world to the other airports except to/from US/Canada. The other one is “Red book” covers the rate to/from USA and Canadian airports to the rest of the world’s airports.

Airlines having their names on the cover of the Main Page as “Participating Airlines” are those who wanted their rates to be publicly announced. These carries agreed to publish their rates in IATA books and will use them to offer the rate to their customers. They will follow the rates from their base airport to other airports, mentioned in the books.

It is not mandatory for other airlines to offer these rates and only it can be considered as a reference for other carriers to have the market rate of the airlines.

In these books the name of origin city is in bold letters and in a bold rectangular. Below the origin city, the name of whatever destination(s) that airline wants will appear.

There are different types of rates designed in the book for easy reference of customers. Below we will review them in summery.
